Description: This article will show you how to resolve the error message “Your mailbox appears to be unavailable. Try to access it again in 10 seconds. If you see this error again, contact your help desk.” for all domain users. This error can be caused if the Microsoft Exchange Information Store is not running or the Exchange database is not properly mounted.

Resolution

Method 1

  1. Open Services
  2. Restart Microsoft Exchange Information Store
    ExchangeStore1

Method 2

  1. Open the Exchange Console
  2. Expand the Organization Configuration node
  3. Select “Mailbox”

  4. Select the Database Management tab

  5. View your databases, if one is “unknown” or “dismounted” right click on it and select “mount database”

Method 3:

  1. Open Exchange Management Shell
  2. Type in the following to check on all required services for Exchange
  3. View the services that are not running
